Collection: AL'ORO EVIL EYE

The evil eye - first recorded by the Mesopotamians about 5,000 years ago, the evil eye may actually have originated as early as the Upper Paleolithic age. We find this figure in Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures as well as Buddhist and Hindu societies.

With a history dating back to ancient civilizations, the Evil Eye charm has traditionally been adopted by many cultures as a symbol of protection against harm where envy or malevolence is inflicted on one person by another. A positive force, the charm helps the bearer to deflect bad feeling or evil away.
